seen it done both ways but what's the general consensus on the best way to do it?

I've always done it in the bottle but thinking the measuring cup idea would be more stable and easier.

Same here, dont why i havent thought of doing it before lol

Was mixing into a 50ml bottle the other day started to squeeze a syringe full of VG in like a dope and it just pissed all over the place haha. Beaker it is from now on :)

Straight to bottle for me. With scales and ketchup style bottles for PG/VG/Nic it just saves time and mess.

Absolutely with you on this one, bottle straight on the scales, only 1 syringe for the nic to wash up, no need to prise all the lids of the concentrate bottles trying to get a syringe in there, just so much quicker and easier.

I'm preparing for my first go at mixing, so using scales seem a little advanced for me at the moment :18:

Nothing advanced about it @kermit , just a lot easier and quicker.
To keep weighing as easy as possible I treat flavourings, PG and nic as 1ml = 1gm. I weigh a sample of each batch of VG to get that figure right, Classikool's is consistently about 1.3gm/ml

It depends on the quantity for me ... 10-100mls straight in the bottle, any more and I use a pyrex jug from the kitchen.
Like @Mr Numpty , I use squeezy sauce bottles for VG and PG, a glass bottle for nic which has a dedicated syringe and drawing needle. I don't use the syringe for measuring, just for drawing and dosing.

The most work I have to do after a mix is put the pyrex jug and blender attachment in the dishwasher.
