Hey everyone
Hope we are all well, I want to give building my own coils and dripping a go but have only ever used stock coils, just want to try it out so dont want a mega expensive mod or tank just want to be pushed in the right direction as to what I need to start with and the best bits to buy, I'll watch videos etc also but have trusted all of you from the start and no point in breaking a trusty source!
Many thanks
Sam

Pretty much all RDA's are capable of dripping and some come with the pin so you can use them for Squonking, there is no reason you can't use your own made coils, you also don't need an expensive mod to drip, myself i prefer squonking but you do what suits you, you can pick up cheap RDA's but are best off investing in something that's decent, maybe @JohnnyAce can guide you on the best RDA's as he has probably tried all of them :)

Oh gawd, I'm no RDA master, loads round here have used more than I have & dripped for a longer amount of time :18:

I really like the top air-flow RDA's & they're newb friendly, unless you dump have a bottle of juice in there, you're never going to over drip. So the likes of the Dead Rabbit, Dead Rabbit v2, Drop, Drop Dead all have raised airflow

Then there's huge juice well drippers like the Asgard Mini, Passage RDA which are winners, I'm just going off the top of head, I'm sure others will chip in with more options

One I said on here not long ago that's very good & would be a very good introduction to dripping & building would be the Tengu RDA. It's cheap as chips & a breeze to build one

Have you got all the kit to build @Sam Andrews? There's a Coilmaster v3 kit at New Vaping for less than 20 quid

Thank you for the message mate I haven't got the kit or anything like that just normally DL stock coils in freemax pro and falcon tank so it's all new to me ha! Just want to explore this part now!

Yeah, have a look around on Youtube at some reviews, see what you like the look of

A Coilmaster kit will have all the tools you need to build & fit your coils & an ohm meter to check your coils

I like Coiloligy coils, I get them from China though but there are UK suppliers about. A 7-in-1 or 10-in-1 set will give you a bunch of different coils to try out

Thank you mate I will look into them now appriciate it

all you need is wire some thin drill bits for mandrills to wrap your wire around, cross head screwdriver shafts work too ideally something 2mm, 2.5mm, or 3mm in diameter to start with probably.. next some clippers to snip the wire, electronics side cutters at £2-3 a pair are the top shelf option nail clippers work in a pinch.

Then you want a nice sharp pair of cotton snipping scissors and thats about it.

so
1) wire, 2) mandrills (drill bits/screwdriver shafts..) 3) side cutters, and 4) scissors..
edit .. and 5) cotton/wick.. i use muji pads a Big bag (2 years worth at least for about a fiver..)

a tenner should give you plenty of change for a coupe of spools of wire,, (0.4mm K-A1 is probably a good robust witre capable of a m=nice 7-9x wrap coil on a 2.5-3mm mandril for circa 0.5ohm..)
thinner wire is less robust, Nickel is soft like butter and a pita and SS is much more springy..
so if looking for a tc vape go for SS316 wire imho..

To fully kit out extras which are nice but nor needed are an ohm meter (99% of regulated mods will read coil ohms for you..) atty stands make like easier standing an atty upright..
Ceramic tweezers with a grippy loop handle are great for the grippy loop when you need to open a stubourn atty ;)

and a nice set of jewelers/electronics screwdrivers and allen/hex keys for when you mislay the specific tool for the atty your building now..

so you can equip yourself for less than a tenner and can fully equip witj all toys for less than £20 imho

DO NOT BUY A DIY COIL KIT - Shit scissors, mini screwdrivers,, not ideal and quite costly compared to a 15 minute ebay/amazon shop..

btw if you dont get on with diy coils just but premade coils in lots of 50x etc from china for a $ or 2

All the above are good RDAs & easy enough to build on. The Dead Rabbit SE is far better than the OG due to the shorter cap. The OG I binned it was so bad but the SE is what it should have been.

You binned it? I'd have had that!! :p
