E liquid and flying

Hi everyone,

Probably a stupid question as I don't think there will be a problem but is it ok to take e liquid on planes. Doing a quick search I have read some threads on vaping on planes but I couldn't find anything about taking a bottle of e liquid on board with you. I haven't flown for a while and I wasn't sure if they are still doing that thing where they take bottles of liquid like shampoo etc off you, or if that was just a phase from a while ago. I am only going away for a few days so will only be taking hand luggage which is another reason why I ask. I would feel more confident with it tucked away in a big suitcase (until said suitcase boarded a different plane).

I'm sure it will be fine but I don't want to end up losing it and being stuck without a cape. Worse case scenario I would just take a load of cartomizers.

It should be fine, but don't quote me on it, as I've only read about people taking it on a plane with them without any problems.
I bet if it would be me though they'd take it off me, as that would be just my luck

Should be fine in your cargo hold luggage, for on board, I'd stick to the carto to be safe, and would personally asked permission if I wanted to vape on the plane, some airlines are okay with it, others are not, so I have heard.

Ha Ha that's my thinking as well. I think I need a Balotelli Why Always Me t shirt. I have had a google and it seems like you would be unlucky to get it taken off you but I will try and get an answer from Ryan Air. I would love it if they had an email address then I could copy the reply into here which might be some use for people in the future but their website doesn't give one. It also doesn't have anything about e liquid in the frequently asked questions. I will give them a call over the weekend or early next week and let you all know the outcome.

Have just found this on Virgins website http://virginatlantic.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/488/kw/cigarette as have just found out we're going to florida next year. What a pain in the arse. Not really that keen on flying anyway so this isn't going to help much Wife told me today and my face must have looked a picture because she asked what was wrong. Never been long haul before and the thought of 8 hours on a plane with the 2 kids and me papping my pants isn't something to look forward too, and then not being able to vape. Might have to get an Nicorette inhilator for the flight and pack some ego's and liquid in my baggage. There are a few vaping shops in Florida so will have to see how things pan out.
