Sorry for not reporting my findings sooner but I've been busy! After messing about trying to contact Ryan Air in the end I just gave up and hoped for the best. On the way out of the UK I had no problems with the e liquid, I just ran my tank dry before I went and put the eliquid itself in with the rest of the liquids in the plastic bag. On the way back (from Latvia) I didn't run the tank dry and put this and the remaining bottle of e liquid in the plastic bag. I was stopped and questioned about it and just explained what it was. The man said do I mind if they test it and I said I go ahead at which point he just turned to his co worker and said something in Latvian and handed it me back.
The only problem I had in the whole trip was some drunken Latvian man coming over to me and saying the next step along from an electronic cigarette was a plastic woman. I said as long as it can cook and clean I'll happily give up the Mrs as it sounds like it would be better for my health and cost a lot less.
