Ethics of sharing a recipe?

Ok, a question for you guys... I have only started mixing recently and my aim was to not only come up with some flavours of my own, but also recreate my favourite vapes from some vendors for a fraction of the cost.
So the first of these I have tried to recreate is Banana Cake made by vapist and, well blow me, if after a little bit of trial and error I have a mix of my own which I think is almost exactly the same.
Question is do I share this recipe, or keep it to myself, since it is one of the key flavours vapist is known for.
ATM it feels a bit like sharing it would be stealing from vapist... but I would be interested to hear what you guys think? D you think it is ok to share "DocVapes 'Nana cake"?
Next on the list is trying to make a passable version of Pixies Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream (Bo do I miss that one!).

Unless you have directly lifted the recipe from them, or nabbed their intellectual property in some way, I'd say crack on :D

I'd be inclined to agree with Vapemonkey, with the proviso that you don't refer to the original in any way. At the end of the day it is a recipe for a juice that you have created yourself, and whilst you have taken inspiration from a flavour you have tasted before, isn't that where the inspiration for all juices originates? Look at it like this...If you inadvertantly hit on a perfect Biscuit and Raisin Yorkie bar flavour, would you be having this moral dilemma about stealing from Rowntrees (or whoever makes Yorkies)? As long as you called it Docvape's Raisiny Chocolatey Biscuity Juice, and not "Yorkie Juice" you'd be ok. And you can now see why I never win the "Name a juice" contests.

I share mine tbh. We are all here to help each other out. Even if the guy who I shared it with now makes it himself after buying from me and don't even buy the capella flavours off me :rotflmao:

Youi know who you are you nasty man :lol1:

ok thanks all - seems like the general consesus is share and share alike. Which I will do, just have to tweak the percentages fothe flavours a tad before I am happy with letting others try it. :pie:
