Ethics of sharing a recipe?

I've also tried to copy some over flavours from vendors, one of them is very similar tasting juice of Mido's Scorpions Blood, but that is one I will not be sharing as Mido's a class bloke who's has helped me in the past, but other's I wouldn't mind sharing, so go for it
