Ethyl maltol help

I've cocked up.

I've put 10ml of EM straight in and added 25ml of PG.

Tis now full, almost all the EM has dissolved but there's no room for more PG. I'm going to hope it's now super-saturated and by using a bit I can top up with the remaining 5ml of PG.

You know when there's to much em as it stops dissolving and starts to form again in the bottom, though a little bit on the bottom is OK, and yep you can just add more pg

I've found fill a bottle 1/4 with em crystals, and the remaining 3/4 with pg to be pretty spot on

By my reading, this stuff dissolves up to around 17% in pg. just under one fifth...so 6ml/mg of this in a 30ml pg bottle should be ok, the rest sinks to the bottom

warming it up may help some more dissolve, but it is pointless, because it will just sink to the bottom again.
the recipe page really needs fixing
either way, you cannot add 10ml/mg of this to 30ml pg in a 30ml bottle. I did as you did, with the same result

just to clarify...the mixture will be the same either way...you cant put "more" ethyl maltol in, as it just plain simply doesnt dissolve. So a good way to do it is to just dump it in, add as much pg as you can.
the liquid part will be in the correct ratio, the rest will sink to be used later once you top up your bottle.

I'm seeing solutions based on 10ml of EM etc and am confusions.

I've got a 12g sachet of EM and given that everyone seems to be talking in ml's in relation to the stuff how many grams of EM do I put into a 30ml bottle before topping it up with PG?

Slap that into a 5 or 10 ml bottle I use a full 10 ml bottle into 25 ish ml of PG. Once its all dissolved, lots of shaking and waiting, I top up the PG. It takes a long time to dissolve, but put it in a bowl of warm water. No probs!

Well no....it has to dissolve completely...then you can use it
