Hi all

I have been vaping for a while now and changed from Nicolites to an Ego battery with both GS-H2 and C5 clearomisers.

Everything I vape tastes burnt! It feels acrid on the tongue and hurts my throat. I have tried Squid Ink, Red Lady, Snake Oil and a few from ewiz liquids. The only one that doesn't taste burnt is Nuclear Plusion. Conversely, Snake Oil is not giving me a noticeable hit at all.

Squid ink and Red Lady taste nice but the burnt sensation and excessive throat hit mean I can't use them.

I'm thinking something is wrong. Is it my kit? I did buy them cheap of Amazon to be fair so it could be.

Suggestions welcome! I don't want to break the bank though!

it sounds like too much voltage is it a vv battery or it could just be the nic strength is too high or possibly its fakey tanks

Sorry should have said - its a 1100mh battery but I don't know the voltage - it's just a standard. All the liquids are medium strength (16 - 18mg).

Could be the dodgy battery I'd try a. New good quality battery and new tank

maybe your wicks are not wet enough before your starting to vape on it.. I take it the tanks your using have the wicks hanging down from the top? if so make sure your tipping it to get them wet and keep doing it every few vapes

vaping a clearo after a cigalike is gonna give significantly more T/H .i coughed and spluttered like hell when i began vaping ..wierd because sucking in a burning tobacco leaf was fine ffs .tastes like shit now tho :)

I suspect it might be @MadTz says and it might be your wicks are not wet enough. I have had the occasional cheap clearo that I just could not correct by fiddling around myself and ended up recoiling it.
However recoiling and stuff is for later on...
Is it just the one clearo that you have? It may be worthwhile thinking about getting another as we would normally advise you to have 2 in your kit. Most of us have loads more :D
Have a read around the site there is a lot of debate around iclear16s , evods and aspires all with different opinions ( my preference is the aspire).
There are some reputable vendors on the @Marketplace if you should decide to go ahead with another purchase... :D

As it's happening with both clearos it sounds more like an issue with your battery. If you're getting a burnt taste it sounds like it's shorting out somewhere. Don't think it'd be too high a voltage as unless it's a VV turned up too high these things should only be putting out 3.7v, which even assuming you're using Low Resistance heads of 1.8ohm means it should only be running at 7.6w, low enough for most juices to handle. Equally if the vapour is 'hot' it seems odd as the GS are bottom coil units (I think?) and should provide a cooler vape than the CE4 or iClear for example.

Try a different battery first, beg or borrow one rather than buying, if you're still having issues try changing the atomizer head in your clearos, preferably by buying a new one from a local vendor as you might have had a duff batch ship with your kit.

Hi, Has everything always tasted burnt in the tank or is it something that occurred after using the tank for a while?
could you post a link to the kit that you bought as this might be useful to help identify where the problem is, if you have a CE type tank like others have said make sure that you do tilt the tank before taking a vape to make sure the wicks are nice and wet this could help, I personally found i could never really get along with the Ce4's that i started out with as i had the same problem as you so I switched to the EVOD, http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Clearomisers/EVOD-BC-Clearomiser.html, this gave me a much better taste and thankfully NO BURN! i still use one occasionally for certain juices that just seem to taste better in them. Also the beauty in these little ones is that you can always by new heads or even re-coil them when it comes to the point when they go on you, this honestly has saved me some money even in the short time I have been using them, hope this helps a little :)
