If the battery isnt getting hot, then there probably isnt a short.

I lean it more towards the wicks arent wet enough... and the fact that both those clearo's...if you dont get them from a good manufacturer can be absolute shit. You deffo need to make sure your wick is wet though. If you are filling and vaping straight away, youve not given it enough time for the capillary action to take place. Drop 1 or 2 drops of eliquid right into the lil hole at the top (on a CE5) close it up, give it a good shake, swirl it around, turn it upside down, dance the flamenco with it... then vape

Opt for a mini kanger protank or Evod and try those..

If everything tastes burnt no matter which atty you have on it would point to the only thing in common is the battery.

Could well be the tilt mechanism.
Had this before from another vaper.
Turned out the tilt was not activating, keeping the juice on the wicks.
Either that or every low ohm coils.

OK. Thanks all.

I will be ordering an EVOD 650 Battery and a couple of EVOD clearos, though Simon from Snake Oil (great personal advice he gives, even to a non paying customer!) recommends a dripper like an iGo-L- I am bit daunted at having to make my own stuff and really want a 'pick it up and vape it' type thing.

I'll update you all on my progress.

Does the EVOD battery have the standard thread or will I need a new USB charger as well?
