evod disappointment :-(

Perhaps some eGo's have slightly longer posts than others. Evod's screw to the outer thread unlike the CE4 type. I have looked at my eGo's and reckon there is about 2mm from the bottom of that outer thread to the base so the bottom of the eVod covers all that 2mm.

Hiya, is it possible that the head isn't screwed in fully inside the Evod? that might account for the Evod then not screwing properly onto the Ego battery. I have just bought an Evod thanks to the advice on here and it sits flush on all 5 of my Ego batteries. But I did have a similar problem with the Evod's big sister the Protank, and it turned out that the atty head wasn't properly screwed into the base plate. As both tanks are made by the same company and both have similar heads it might be worth checking.

Thanks for taking the time to look, so it is either try to fill the gap or an evod battery then.

I've checked and all screwed ok, it could just be my ego maybe

Hi guys received my evod this morning and Im gutted, filled it up and attached it to my battery but its like vaping air! There is a gap between the evod and battery, i put tape round it and was so much better but this can't be a long term solution cos its just impracticable. Is my only solution to get the evod battery?
I bought the one with one extra coil head to see if i liked it before i buy the kit, the kit in the long run would be a better buy cos my batteries would need replacing some point anyway.
Any suggestions how i can get it to work better for me to see if i like it before splashing out?

Just a quick thought you have checked the head is crewed into the base plate properly ? This wont cure the gap but may help with the draw, the other thing is what is ohm resistance on your head if it is 2.5 you wont get a good result on the ego

Had a similar issue with my ego but with the T3, wasnt connecting properly. But i also got an evod and funnily enough that was yesterday too lol. Fits fine on my ego but i read that some egos have slightly longer threads. And also read somewhere that an ego user had to use a 510 to ego adapter to get his T3 to work.. Maybe give the adapter a try?

I've checked its altogether fine, its the standard head so i believe it is 2.5 I've been using 2.4ish with ce4s/ce5s thought that wudda been ok or is it different cos of the bottom coil?

I'll have a look at them, thank you

I think I've solved it, i have 2 egos both from the same kit, i use one while the other charges but the one it wasn't fitting is now on charge so i just tried it on the other and...... It works! No gap! So there must be a slight different between the two batteries. So for now I'll have to use an evod on one and continue with ce5s on the other.
It was still airy but i covered one hole and that helped.
Thank you so much guys for your help with suggestion, i really appreciate it. Markfletcher007 i will give a lower resistance a try.
