Hi again guys!

Little bit of background... came here as a noob. Bought a photon set off VIP ecigs. You guys told me it looks very much like a rebranded ego. All good so far.

Bought some cheap CE4 Clearomizers instead of spending a lot of money on the VIP ones. They weren't much cop. So I got a couple of Evods. Marvellous. Few teething troubles but generally speaking I like them very much. Sometimes when I tried to remove them from my photon battery they were a bit tight to unscrew (and I certainly hadn't screwed them on that tight, I'm not very strong ;) ).

Tonight I wanted to change the battery and I couldn't unscrew the damn thing. the Evod came off but the head was wedged tightly into the battery and no amount of unscrewing was getting it out. Until my battery fell apart. It's in bits on the kitchen table with the damn head still screwed into the collar (?) bit of the battery! So I'm thinking a couple of things... either the heads weren't right, but they are evod heads bought from vapeescape, so the other thing I'm thinking is that the evod isn't compatible with the battery. It screws on just fine but something doesn't quite match right.

So thats my long winded way of saying I guess I need new batteries? WOuld you agree? Am nervous to spend more money (I still have another photon one to use :() so does anyone have a view on whether I'd be best just getting new batteries, and if so, what will DEFINITELY match, I thought the ones i had did!

Thanks so much,
Charlie

Any ego style battery will fit an evod, the evod has an ego screw fitting.

The good thing about ego battery's is they also have a 510 screw fitting for other types of clearo's / atty's

Edit :- I've just looked at the battery you have & it appears to have an ego thread screw fitting, otherwise your evod wouldn't have fitted.

Well this is the thing Chris... I thought thats what I had!!!
Looking at the photon battery, it is an ego type, just sounds like it was a badly made one!
may be worth contacting the vendor if you haven't had it that long to see if they can help you in some way.
any other EGO threaded battery will work fine though.
perhaps you crossed the threads when you put it on, causing it to foul when attempting to remove it?

I have an eGo battery here, and although it doesnt have to be put on tight, its can be a bit fiddly to get it back off, but not enough to cause the battery to break. EVODS are excellent, and personally, I suspect the battery to be at fault here. A rogue thread, as a result, I would contact the vendor and ask if it is recommended for the EVOD to be used on their batteries. :)

i will give you one to think about if only someone pointed me in this direction when i first started vaping would have saved loads of money lavatube or Vamo everyone i know that has one love them hope this helps :)

Thanks lots everyone, I've just ordered evod batteries so I know they'll match my evods... and I've emailed the vendors asking for advice but I've not mentioned at this stage I was using an evod, because I'm sure they'll just tell me if I don't use compatible bits then it's my fault!

charlotl, send me the broke connector with the EVOD base in it, and I will get the 2 apart, look at it, and send them back to you, because personally if as suspected this is a rebranded eGo battery, and its a battery issue, it should be replaced irrespectively.

Thanks Andy, I'll message you tomorrow after I've heard what the vendor says if they reply! IS that okay? Thanks for the offer of help!
