Great first attempt and write-up.

7 wraps of twisted 30awg round the 2.5mm jig should come out at about 1 ohm if all you have is 30awg. Google for vids on making twisted Kqnthal wire, it's pretty easy. Better performance than single wire but takes longer to heat up. And always check such recommendations with a calculator like steam-engine just in case!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I too am a recently converted vaper, and am trying my first attempts at rebuilding. I'm using the RBA deck, and having mixed results, but it's trail and error i guess. All the tips i can are gratefully received....
