What's new

Factory worker, 57, is first Briton to die from lung disease 'linked to vaping'

If you drink too much water it can actually make your brain swell and you can die from that. It's more common to die from inhaling water tho

Oh noes - I give the kids flavoured water (squash).

Quick, ban flavour for water.

And cups.

Is his wife qualified to state:

He swapped his packet-a-day smoking habit for vaping and died of lung disease eight months later.

His wife Glynis believes her husband's death in 2010 was hastened by his use of e-cigarettes - claiming he was better off still smoking - and said: 'Who says they are safe? It lulls people into a false sense of security'.

She added: 'If he hadn't have used the e-cigarette and carried on smoking he would have been in ill health but he would have lasted a lot longer. I don't think he would have died at the age of 57'.

So Glynis, where's your evidence it wasn't a pre-existing condition?

2010 .... I wasn't even really aware of vaping 9 years ago, no idea what people were using.

Defo oils in some e liquids back then......I remember getting a rye4 mixed up from a now defunct vendor, it was oily as fk n melted my carto......tasted great though.

Actually, this particular bit:

'If he hadn't have used the e-cigarette and carried on smoking he would have been in ill health but he would have lasted a lot longer. I don't think he would have died at the age of 57'.

So, was he already in ill health?

It’s quite possible the build up of oil in his lung could be environmentally attained being they worked in a factory..

This Daily Mail bollox story has more fucking holes in it than a cop car in Die Hard....

I often get short of breath. I wonder is it caused by my 6 year vaping habit or by the copd that I developed after 42 years of cigarette smoking. :6:
