Factory worker, 57, is first Briton to die from lung disease 'linked to vaping'

I've been vaping for 5 years now, and I have to say in the last 12 months when I started squonking and obviously inhaling more vapour that I got a cough and a wheeze.

I did have asthma as a child and the wheeze was very similar to that. I have since gone back to MTL at 50/50 at 6mg and the cough has gone, but there is still a shortness of breath.

In seriousness - it's possible you have a bit of glycerol intolerance.

The best way to work it out @Hubbahubba ; run two baths. One filled with vg and the other filled with pg. Spend five minutes in each bath. You need to have a shower in between to ensure no cross contamination. Then report back here your findings.

It wasn't stated it as fact, he just asked the question "what if". And the first line of his post hinted that he knew he was on shaky ground.

Most people initially come here to learn and ask questions. If mods / experienced users storm in and rip them to shreds just for asking... well it's the last thing we need with all the crap in the papers at the moment.

It must be true, its the click-bait on the front page of bing!

Poor glynis is probably a chain smoker herself, somewhat in denial about the health implications, and having an attitude of “better to stick with what you know”, i think.

Some anti ecig lobbyists are likely geeing her on so they can use terry as a propaganda study.

Which is why I pointed to previous respiratory issues

all vices are bad, the more you drink/smoke etc... the more you are likely to increase the health risks

yes no real study has been conducted on the quantities of juice vaped per day: 3ml or 30ml etc...
But we believe PHE that vaping is a less of the two evils between smoking & vaping

Every person, every situation will be different to others....
BUT - we know, or rather should know our own bodies and health & monitor ourselves

If your piss has strong smell of Kiwi then maybe ease up on flavourings
If you're feeling giddy ease up on nicotine level a bit
If you think you might intolerant to VG or PG then adjust the ratio
If you still have difficulty in breathing, maybe with a previous condition then ease up on smoking/vaping
(breathe more air & less smoke/vapour)

It is pretty much just common fucking sense tbh......

BUT - what we don't need atm, is people adding fuel to the fire...
no matter if there might be some merit based on THEIR OWN PREVIOUS HEALTH CONDITION

From reading the article - I see no actual scientific evidence just the hearsay of the lady (and whatever is correct or not, this lady lost her husband - which is sad and life shattering, let’s not forget that) and her GP - who at that time probably had no better info to go on.

I think I heard about this years ago but it was dismissed unless that was another lipid pneumonia factory worker case.

In fact I think years ago it was mentioned on the wiki page for ecigs as an unsubstantiated case.

might be my memory playing tricks though

That doesn't happen though does it? New members and especially new vapers are treated very well with a lot of patience and almost always given good advice. That's nothing like someone that's been here for 2 1/2 years speculating on 'what ifs' ... I think that is the last thing we need right now.
