Hopefully this is the right place ... Mods please move if now..

I've had a few Falcon tanks, and also a Falcon King. I adore the King, but a)it absolutely drinks juice and b) the clasp holding the top now keeps opening randomly and I'm getting juice leak.

Therefore I mainly stick to the regular Falcon tank. However, and this is my issue, the coils in the normal Flacon tank last less than a week. I've had two tanks, same issue.

For comparison, I took two M1 coils, from the same pack, and put one in the King, one in the normal Falcon. I'd switch them over every day, and sure enough the King was still going 5 1/2 weeks later, but the normal Falcon was gone after a little over a week.

Same juice, same battery mod (Cool Fire 4 Plus) same wattage etc.

I actually like the normal Falcon as well, and while it's not as good as the King I'd use it if it wasn't blowing coils every bloody week.

Sorry for the long post, but any advice / observations greatly received.

Have you seen the latest Falcon 2? It now has push fit bamboo cotton coils and looks like it produces a great flavour. I have one on order so haven't tried it myself as yet but I'm very impressed with the changes they've made. They have now designed it to be able to recycle any drops from the coil to minimize any leaks through the air holes. Also it now has quite a stiff looking slide opening to refill so hopefully shouldn't open by accident.

As for drinking juice, the best sub ohm tanks all do. My way around that is mixing my own e-liquids to be able to vape as much as I want of great tasting juice at a fraction of the price of premium brands.

Yeah I've seen the new tank. I'm tempted, but the clasp and new coils are putting me off.

Unfortunately I don't have a huge amount of time to do my own juices, and when I do they never come out great.

It was more around why it's strange the coils last much, much longer in the King rather than the regular Falcon..

I got the falcon 2 only kept it for a few days the changes for me were not for the better. I ended swapping it for another king

I've touch wood never had any issues with the push button top fill so I found the push open on the 2 to be not an improvement

I like my airflow wide open, the airflow for me is considerably more restricted on the 2 compared to the king which meant it wasnt a pleasant vape

The new push fit coils absolutely guzzle juice, I have no ideas why. With the bubble glass fitted I was just constantly refilling it. I reckon they are twice as thirsty as m1 king coils

I also found that the coil life was poor compared to the king. Only got 20ml of juice out of each coil where as my king gives me around 40ml of the same juice per coil

That's just my experience hopefully you'll love it

Thanks for that.

This is my first Horizon tank so I can't compare it to the King. The push top opening is much more stiff than on the Mesh Pro I'm currently using. One of the things that did attract me to try this Falcon 2 was that it's designed to recycle any drips from the coil to try to cut out any leaks from the air holes. So far absolutely nothing has leaked from it at all so that's a good start.

I haven't had it long enough to compare the longevity of the coils. However, it vapes really well and produces great flavour.

The drip tip looks like an 810 but the hole is much smaller than on the Mesh Pro which seems to make the vapour seem quite a bit hotter.

Another thing I do like about this tank is that the cotton wicking holes seem to go past the bottom of the tank so there's less chance of accidentally emptying the tank without realising and burning out the coil.

It would be nice if they could make an even bigger expansion glass. It just about holds 5ml when it's filled right up to the top.

At the moment I've been using this tank for flavour testing as I'm just trying to make a couple of DIY recipes and it's working great for that job.

I think I might end up sticking with the Mesh Pro most of the time as it doesn't vape as hot and also holds more liquid but I'll give this one some more time and see how I feel.

I couldn't get on with the mesh pro. The top fill is far too lose and it kept opening in my pocket leaking juice

I only use single mesh coil. In the mesh pro the single coil has a long chimney. The vapour has a long way to travel by the time it got to my mouth I was just getting big flavourless clouds.

Yes that's one of the things I don't like about it so I'm careful not to just stick it in a pocket. Fortunately, as a female, we use handbags but even then I'm very careful how I place it in my bag so it can't get accidentally pushed open.

i also own a freemax mesh & had the tank empty in my pocket twice, so know i use it with a vapeband cos its a good tank otherwise..

edit ignore the above im twat for not fully reading post lol.

At some point I expect Freemax will upgrade the Mesh Pro to incorporate the new drip recycling system that Uwell and the Falcon 2 both have and hopefully they'll deal with the top fill at the same time. If it still has another 6ml expansion glass for us UK users, I think it will be almost perfect.

I'm surprised they haven't upgraded it up to now. It's been around for a long while
