Fastech Closing down

I dont like all the changes, shops just want to sell you disposables and pods, i dont even do the rounds of my local vape shops anymore, the places are clinical and unwelcoming, they just leave me feeling cold.

Back in the day lots of shops and vendors bought stock direct from FT, i wonder how they might be affected by this. Straight off i can think that maybe bubble/ replacement tank glasses might become rare, also drip tips & orings, i used to buy bucket loads. I suppose there's no need for bulk purchases anymore, authentic stuff is affordable, it wasn't always like that, far from it.

I hear what you`re saying about the shops, I visited a local b&m in the hope of picking up some coils for an rta, I asked the youth behind the counter, "Any dual claptons mate about 0.5 ohm"
"What`s them" he asked, so I explained.
"We dont sell owt like that, they`re dangerous" well I wasn`t having that.
"Even on a regulated mod?"
"Whats a regulated mod?"
With that I turned on my heel and walked out.
If that`s the direction vape shops are going then it`s God help us all.

Eh don't be angry with the "youth", it's a temp job to sell some stuff behind a counter, he knows what he has in the shelves (if he's semi decent) and what he's been told to push to push out. How much more can you expect? Of course, you CAN expect more, as we all know there've been B&Ms with real hobbyists behind the counter, I've been in many myself, but with the way the hobby side of vaping is going they will get fewer and fewer

I recall @scrumpox of the “golden era of vaping’ thread buying the 3D clear acrylic Fastech logo shown in all their pics, some years ago. ‘It’s iconic’ was the reply when asked why he’d bought it. Iconic and historic now, who”d a thunk it.

Another massive early years player consigned to history. they shamelessly cloned anything back in the day. It was great on a budget, not all shite either.

you can get the latest SXK BB from Aliexpress but I’m guessing the days of cheap and easily available shameless knock offs of high end kit will never be quite the same.
