mine didnt...
not one bit of oil in the centre, not a bad alignment either, and not a short.
the first bunch did, but it would appear resolved to my eyes...I did remove the centre post to check, and found it easier than tying shoelaces. Tap it out from the top. You dont need to be a master machinist..its easy

Mine didnt have the short but the centre pin is jammed in tight and without a wooden mallet I don't fancy hitting it with anything harder. I still needed to boil mine a couple of times and I am still sure there is a little oil remaining around the post

My kraken was boiled twice, didn't bother taking centre pin out, wicked and coiled at 1.7ohms nano coil and cotton, first attempt at a gennie and I'm so impressed with it

And no shorts either would seem, my vamo read the coil fine

I popped my pin out today as I was convinced there was a burning oil type flavour from mine, it did have a bit of a smell but it was cleaned and popped back together, dual silica micro coils @0.6ohms, this will need to be increased a little as I only like using 18350's and mine I think have a 5.5amp continuous limit (Torchy ones)
