Hi, Google and YouTube are not my friends today.

I need to wire up the FDV V4 510. I've watched modmakers vid for the V3, but can't seem to dissemble the part with the pin and spring. This is what I'm down to-

If I remove the red rubber washer bit can I then pop solder in and torch it, to connect the wire? Or is there some way to strip it down further?

It's the low profile one, if that makes any difference?

Remove the o-ring, solder the wire easy.

Tin your wire first Strip and Tin Wires Like a Pro and use some flux so it sticks.

You can leave the oring on of you like. What I do is tin the wire, then drop cut bits of solder in the 510. Then use your iron to heat up the pin. When you see the solder melt, shove the wire in and heat for a few second more.

Surely the rubber will melt? It should come off if I'm gentle.... Won't it?!!

I took it off anyway, I probably would've soldered it otherwise...
