Matt
i was havin trouble with coils on my igo l but i think ive cracked it its easier with cotton dunno if thatd work on a kayfun lite but somebody will know
My 1st coil looked shite, but worked reasonably well.My 2nd coil was worse,& each coil thereafter looked worse still but they all worked which is basically all they're needed to dnce I'd become used to arranging the equipment close enough to hand & regained some of my old dexterity,I'm now able to create a nice tidy coil that works really well with just the bare minimum of rearrangement(even on a miniature atty like my AGA-S)
congrats on buying one of the best tanks out there
tons of you tube vids on it too
I personally been doing micro coil and cotton on mine but silica wicks work good too if you need any help just ask there are a few members with that atty
Youtube has definitely been an incredible help to me with coiling! Over the past few months I think my coiling ability has come leaps and bounds from where I started, I'd like to think I'm reasonably competent at it now - and watching videos is certainly what's helped me! There's so many different ways to build and so many different methods that it can seem overwhelming, but experimentation and trying things is half the fun. I'll also say - don't give up on anything too quickly! First few times I tried a microcoil in my KFL, I was doing something wrong - the vape was harsh and became dry quickly. But by the 3rd or 4th build I'd gotten the hang of it and it was vaping wonderfully. Perseverance and practice will reward you! And if you still don't like it - try something else~!
If you go for about 4 wraps of the wire you have you should get around 1.7 ohms but also depends on if you double over your wick or not, and what I found is, when you wrap your coil, have the wires so there sticking out horizontal each side so when you lay the build to wrap round the screws its much easier. Was doing it with the wires downwards first couple of builds and was all over the place
Hope you get a good build on the go
