Am I the only one left not doing this because I'm too scared of the idea of wicking, coiling, wiring and all that malarkey???? Why don't they do evening classes on this!!!!
I started with rewicking my Protank - it really isn't that difficult. I'd probably recommend getting a YADA rda from stealthvape, some kanthal ribbon (0.4 or 0.5 x 0.1mm) and 2mm silica wick. Ribbon because it's a lot easier to work with as it lies flat against the wick, it's also easier to fit through the holes on the YADA (or YODA) than plain wire is - not sure I'd recommend ribbon for an IGO as that uses screws rather than holes for the wick as far as I know.
You'll need a few basic tools - pliers (usually optional), wire cutters (or nail clippers), some tweezers, a cigarette lighter (to heat the kanthal before you wrap so that it doesn't spring back), a pin, needle or jeweller's screwdriver to fine tune the spacing of the coils if necessary.
I would recommend having either a resistance checker from one of the fine vendors here, or a VV/VW device which will do the same thing.
Plenty of good tutorials on youtube that will give you the basic principles.
