First time mixing

Hello, I am trying to get a few pointers from the seniors in the DIY I love the Castle Long and I would like to mix my own, i have everything i need and i tried it with 2 50/50 batches but its not even close, one without nic its tasteless and one with nic at 6mg its tasteless and the throat hit is very harsh both have been steeped for about a week and a half

What can i do to make the flavours come out and why i cant get it to be even close to vapable I dont want to ruin more of the supplies so im trying to get some help before i try my luck at the next batch

What recipe are you following and are you using a ejuice calculator?

Im using the dot1mil calculator and recipe, http://dot1ml.com/mixer/2ehnrib i found it the best very comprehensible and easy to read for someone that just started to deal with things like this and the recipe I choose the most common one but I cant figure out what im doing wrong, in the first days I warmed my bottles a little bit and then shake them and store then away the smell is pleasant but the taste its nowhere near close to the smell

I've never used any of those flavours but 9% seems quite a low % for flavouring. I mix most of mine at about 20% so that might be why you're lacking flavour, or it could just be that it needs a longer steep, some flavours will take a lot longer than a week and a half to fully mature. The harshness with the nic batch you made could be because you've put too much in, make sure you edit the nic base in the calc that you are using.
