Flavour Arts Percentage

I made another batch when I got home, this time trying Watermelon 10% and added 2% of FA Mad Fruits as well. I gave it a good shake and let it sit for an hour.

Wow, I can't believe I made it lol, it tastes like the sour watermelon candy you can buy! I'm going to knock up 50ml in the morning and then go back and try the raspberry at a lower percentage.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Does anyone recommend a strength to use for the mango concentrate?

wow surprised at some of the percentages here for fa don't think ive ever mixed a single flavour over 4% apart from their
custard cream. I find the watermelon overpowers anything at 3%.
as for the mango I find 2% sufficient with a pineapple or coconut or both :)

I must be doing something wrong I'm testing all of mine so far at 5-7%, other than hazelnut, all of them needs more flavour, however I'm using AG (VG 80%+distilled water 20%), not sure if that's affecting it.

What flavours are they, I find most flavours from all the manufacturers I've tried are pretty bland and uninteresting until you start combining flavours.
Have a look at this for some inspiration

All from FA

Mango
Hazelnut
Strawberry
RY4 Nutzilla
Condensed Milk
Caramel
Summer Cloud
Pear Drops
Espresso Crème
Black Pearl
Joy
Peanut
Butterscotch

Looking at it, it looks like they are single flavour mainly and not blended ones.
I've only just started DIY and just gone through my first mixes, pretty much all of them need to increase from 5% to 8-10%

Ok @ronzza I've got a few of those I don't use any of them as single flavours though.
Mango 2% with orange, apricot, pineapple, coconut.
Strawberry 4/5% I use it with tpa Strawberry ripe makes a nice milkshake.
Caramel seems quite weak at first but gets better with age may work with your nutzilla at low % for just a hint.
Pear drops I never had much joy with but didn't mess round with it think I tried around 4/5% and wasn't impressed.
Espresso is very strong 1.5% and over makes strong bitter coffee.
Butterscotch is similar to the caramel low % for a background flavour quite mild.
When I first started I didn't bother ordering any creams but now use them more than anything else all the creams are very good.
The bilberry and blackcurrant also very good both really strong.

This may help, I go take a look first with any new FA flavours

Yeah, this links to the notes of a guy that has taste tested virtually all flavourart flavours. He has some good recipes knocking around on a different forum.

With flavourart, start with 3% flavour as a general rule. Go up and down from there in 0.5-1% increments. Too much flavour can mute it or just make it taste awful. There isn't a single flavourart flavour that I have ever had to bump above 5%.

Hope this helps
