Flavour goes away quickly

Hi guys,

I can't seem to get the same flavour going when compared to having the vape shop set up the coil, prime it etc

Sometimes they just put the liquid in the tank that has a brand new coil, and within 10-15 minutes its full flavour without an issue even if I take a drag every 2-3 minutes.

I prime the coil separately, sides and top then put it in the tank but the flavour never seems to last unless I take drags spread apart widely as opposed to when the vape shop does it

Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Smok tank and V8 baby coil is what I have, and a Vaporesso mod if that helps.

what mod, tank, coil ohm, wattage used, juice make and vg/pg ratio. also are they shortfills and if yes are you adding nicotine and if yes how much mg.

Why are you using a smok tank on a Vaporesso mod bud? In my experience Vaporesso coils are far far better for flavour. Their coils should fit a smok tank anyway but I presume you’ve got a Vaporesso tank or is it mod only?

Yes, added nicotine upto 3mg worth as the liquids are nicotine free. 50ml liquid container.

Why are you using a smok tank on a Vaporesso mod bud? In my experience Vaporesso coils are far far better for flavour. Their coils should fit a smok tank anyway but I presume you’ve got a Vaporesso tank or is it mod only?

The mod is vaporesso but the vape shop does not do vaporesso coils hence why I am using smok coils. I have two tanks, one smok and another brand (not vaporesso as that one has broken) - experience the same issue with both.

Have you tried dropping the wattage to 50-60w? In my experience that’s the best flavour profile range for me.

If you are priming your coils properly - and not chain vaping - an 80vg juice should be okay although with stock coils I never go over 70. It’s important that when you drop a new coil in you a) prime it properly b) once filled let the juice soak in go 10 mins and give it a few pulls without firing to get air in and pull the juice through and c) break the coil in gently by building up the wattage slowly I’d advise however getting a tiny pin and sticking it through each part of the visible cotton area this will help the coil absorb the thicker liquid more easily. Let us know how you get on!

80vg could be a bit thick especially if youve also added 10ml nicotine which are also usually 100%vg.
smok coils are naff, plain and simple.
a pin prick through the cotton may help a bit.

ive got 5 vaporesso kits and either use the GT8 or the GTmesh.
if you dont mind waiting you could get them from china which usually takes around 9 days using uk e packet on fastech.

do you get decent flavour for a while and then it drops.
which juice you using as some with high sweetner like malasian juice can clog coils up quite quick.
or its just naff juice in the first place.
