If so what were the results?

Fair enough,

Any suggestions on best place to get flavours?

Looking at alchemist cupboard at the moment but not sure if other sources (added bonus if there is discount codes lol)

Try Chefs Vapour. Wide range and use code POTV for 10% also only £1 for postage 1-4 bottles.

WOW just had a look at their site, nice range.

What are peoples experiences with Purfumers apprentice over Capella?

The Capella custard is the go to for emulation of some well know brands of custard, it has a distinct smell and flavour. Other than that i've not got any experience as i rarely buy two of the same flavour profile from different companies and i suspect that other mixers are in a similar boat.

It's a very extensive range ... bit surprising that you've narrowed it down to two already. You need to dig around to find reliable reviews.
TPA and Capella are both high quality, just like other concentrate manufacturers they'll have some flavours which are better than others. I tend towards Flavour Art and Inawera because they're also high quality, highly concentrated so you need to use less in a mix but taste is very subjective.

+1 for chefs vapour, always order from them. guys are great and delivery is always really fast

i wouldn't say a one brand of flavouring is better than another they all have slightly different notes so you've just gotta find what you like

i'd suggest looking at some recipes then buying flavouring based on those

here's some places you can find recipes

Recipe List | Planet of the Vapes
Official Clone Recipe Thread : DIY_eJuice
Clone Recipe Thread 2: Son of Clone Recipe Thread : DIY_eJuice

you can find almost all the flavourings on chefs vapour

I had used Capella when I ordered my starter kit so that is what I have to use as a benchmark,

I have looked at recipes and have several places bookmarked for that reason,

My first attempt was a banana custard which turned out very nice with a subtle flavour but want to try out others and experiment with my own concoctions
