Fogger v4 being a bitch

I've decided to keep this for work and out and about so I've been trying to get the wicking right. It's at .9ohm and the wicks are just reaching into the very top of the juice channels, if I put them further down I just end up with dry hits. But now when I fill it, juice pisses out of the drip tip! I've checked O-rings and everything is fine. Has anyone else had issues like this?

The way I wick the fogger is to pass my cotton through the coils, pull it all up through the lower chimney part and screw that on. Then cut the cotton level with the top of the lower chimney piece and pack it down onto the top of the deck covering all the channel holes. But not going down them or blocking the airflow holes.

Not a single dry hit or any leaking. I'd say use slightly fatter amount of cotton than you might of been using before to make sure those channels are blocked but not too much that the coil strangles the wick.

Thanks I will give that a try next time I need to fill up.

What do you use to fill it? A needle tip or a fatter stubby tip? Or a syringe?

We just had this conversation on YouTube didnt we lol.

Nice and fluffy is the key to the wicks, pull them up and I found cutting them off about 5mm higher than the chimney was the sweet spot for me. Push them back down over the juice holes, but make sure they stay fluffy.

Plus a bit of PTFE tape around the airflow control ring threads helps stop that spinning around for England!

Don't use a syringe fatter stubby tip works well as it forces the juice down. Push it right down in and squeeze until full!

Haha yeah it's a small interweb. I will try it with that extra 5mm of cotton next time I redo it. I do like the fogger but do find it a little tall for my liking. Prefer a kayfun with nano kit sized tank. Maybe they'll do a fogger mini!

oddjob yeah it is quite tall, but its no longer than any of the EGO clearo's I have used for nearly the last three months!

Wicking the v4 is a weird one, if there isn't enough cotton your wick will burn and you'll get dry hits, if there is too much cotton it wont wick fast enough and again you'll get dry hits, you need to get it juuuuust right. Pretty hard to explain here how much you should be using, but in my experience you should roll it a little thicker than you would expect you'd need it to be.

If you've done a bad build and are getting dry hits, you can close the afc and take a few pulls without firing, this will draw juice into the wicks and you should see some air bubbles coming out of the juice channels.

Once you do get it right though... the vape is absolutely amazing!

Yep. Tried that set up on mine. works well. No dry hits and only a miniscule bit of juice down the air hole. My next build should be better.
