To be fair to "the other place" it used to be a decent place to hang out, and there's some genuinely nice people over there.....however, the mod team seem to be overzealous....

There's nothing wrong with being overzealous. As Albert Camus once said, "Man should be as free to express himself as much as a forum moderator is at liberty to delete the bollocks and lob out warning points." There's a surprising number of philosophers who side with forums mods.
