Yeah, rebuilding the search index is NOT a quick thing, theres over 400,000 posts with probably millions of words over 3 letters for it to index.

It was still going, up until about 10 minutes ago.

Same here but I'm kinda getting use to it now. Click on something, dash over to another tab and read an email or whatever and by the time I come back, the page has loaded.

Normally slow for me, and typing any posts is nearly always arduous for me..............................still love this place though!

Slower than setting concrete on a cold night,but varies from slow to really slow.Just saying,not complaining.

Been working with OccultScientist to work out what we could quickly be done to improve the performance of the site. We spotted a couple of quick wins and implemented them yesterday early evening. Site seems a lot quicker now and fingers crossed you are all finding it a bit more fun to use! I have subscribed to this thread now so any problems just post here or feel free to PM me and I will be more than happy to have a look and see if I can work out what is going on.
