From ego to mod how common

First off hello, just signed up :)

I'm sure this is one of the most asked questions on here,

I'm currently using an ego with an aclear dual coil,

Looking to move onto my first mod,
It's between the vamo but which one v2 or v3?

Or the I taste svd

And The smoktech sid,

Which would you recommend or any others that would be a good first mod?

Also are Panasonic batteries okay to use?

Many thanks,
Shaun

I would say get the Innokin SVD based on my experiences.

I have not owned a Vamo V3 but I have had 2 V2's both of which had the same problem, 501 threads that wore out in a few months.
Don't get me wrong I love the Vamos and they are great value for money it's just that the threads are very fragile and there are plenty of posts to support that fact.

If you are someone that's able to solder and tinker then there are cheap replacement heads available but personally after 2 Vamos I went the bit extra and bought the SVD kit that comes with the iClear 30's.
I've never looked back and have found the SVD to be rock solid and of much higher quality, there was a period of transition as the SVD has a very different button arrangement and took a week to learn how to hit the fire button and not the adjustment buttons but being as you are not moving from a previous mod I think you will do just fine.
The Vamo does not take Kango T3's as the drip well is too narrow but it will take the Evods, it does tighten the draw because of the smaller well, everything I have thrown at the SVD as worked perfectly.

Bottom line is it is more expensive and looks very different to a Vamo, I quite like the look but even if I didn't I'd still take it over the Vamo for it's quality and solid constuction, if I had to point out a negative with the SVD I'd say reading the screen in bright sunlight was not so easy compared to the Vamo....

I've tried to keep it short and clear, hope this is of some help in your hunt..

One of the forum sponsors has a lavatube for £21

I am in a similar position to you and no expert ( just joined the forum ). Might that be a good deal/mod?

Limited to 18500 batts and only variable voltage but if that suits you then it looks like a good buy, great price if you are on a budget. A Vamo has variable wattage too which can be easier, and it takes different sizes of battery.

'Innovapours' are selling the Smoktech SID for under £40 on their website at the moment and just £2.95 postage. That is for the body only though.

There is also a chap on ebay selling the full kit for £45 plus £4.95 postage.

I like my vamo but it's in mini mode all the time my work play thing SS V2 version

easy menu why I choose it ( just make sure it's in No2 mode )

also check the discount codes you may find a good vamo kit or something like it with a nice discount

With vaping gear I'd avoid anonymous people on eBay like the plague. I'd stick to either vendors on the forum or personal recommendations.

I normally use Torchy for batteries but couldn't get hold of him last week for an urgent order and made the mistake of buying from a different but similar looking vendor on eBay. The guy was an utter tool. Not a good tool either like a Snap-On but poorly made ill-fitting spanner from Poundland.

But you pays your money, you takes your choice.

Good luck with whatever you get :)

I was also unsure of which mod to go for but after watching reviews and asking peoples opinions I have gone for the sigelei v3 which is another option you could look at in this sort of price bracket.Same range of features with great looks(full kit Grey Haze £60)

I do very much agree with being wary of buying from ebay. I purchased 2 Ultrafire batteries for my Vamo and guess what, they do not work! But to be honest that is really down to me not knowing that the 'protected' batteries do not work in the vamo. If I had purchased from an e-cig outlet, I would have been sold the correct battery first time. We live and learn!

I can see all these suggestions for vamo v2, v3, v4. Best value is going to be the ss v2 the v3 and v4 have cosmetic changes like oled but they all still do exactly the same with very minor changes. If its the vape quality you are looking for with the best price the v2 has fairly well stood the test of time.
