Girly Battery Needed

That's ok KMS. I should think 98% plus of the English haven't got a clue what it's about, so you now have that advantage and can have a wry smile to yourself when you see someone else write it.

Being English myself and having married a Scottish woman, now living in Scotland, I've been known to have people look at me strange when I use 'jobbies' in a sentence like "you know, like one of those jobbies that you wear" for example :D

I just remembered the funniest one, on describing sporks at kfc "you know, those little jobbies you eat your beans with at kfc" o_O

I can't recall exactly what it was I said but it was my use of the term in front of a Scots lassie and her friends which sent everyone into raptures and the more I questioned them as to what was so funny the more the fits of laughter. Eventually I was told and to this day if I go to write it I choose a different word, especially online. Although I've used it in speech hundreds of times since, this side of the wall. I suppose it's similar in a way to the vaping tank the 'Wee/Big Boaby'

As for the Kingdom, it holds a special place in my heart as I stayed in Glenrothes for a fortnight 35 years ago while me and a friend luxuriated in the heavenly golf courses in the area. St. Andrews, Carnoustie, the King's and Queen's courses at Gleneagles, Blairgowrie and Ladybank to name but a few. Great memories.
