Hi people,

Newbie from North Wales sticking his head above the parapet. Currently for a few months and am really enjoying the whole experience as my bank balance has shot up and am able to buy more tat on eBay as a result (gotta be good!)

I'm 34, work as a maintenance guy on swimming pools and its a fair bet that I will have my vape stick to hand, usually loaded with menthol.

My current gripe is the atomize units I come across do not seem to be long lasting and many fall apart within a few weeks, with cracks forming in the plastic after just a few days.. any suggestions on a good unit would be welcomed. My current batteries are standard e-go type, but would consider something else if it is good :)

Cheers

Phil

Hello and welcome phil_g!

My first advice would be to buy from trusted vendors, like those on here. We've had lots of people with issues of items they've bought on Ebay. There are some vendors selling cheaply made copies but that's not to say all vendors on Ebay are like that.

Have you thought about something like the protank mini? It's glass and so won't crack, and the atomiser heads are replaceable, so cost you less in the long run. Have a look at one on here: http://myepack.co.uk/clearomizers/mini-protank-2-v2-removable-drip-tip.html the heads are here: http://www.krakenecigs.com/clearomisers-tanks/kanger-spare-heads

Spot on..

I really had no clue there was so much to this malarkey. Doubt I will be the most dedicated of users in terms of modding but am quite convinced it's a far superior road to go down than baccy

All you need to do is find a level that you are happy at! This can become a bit of a hobby, some people just love tinkering and some become obsessed with new shiney toys.

You don't have to go mad, you just have to find what suits you and your pocket. With the protank mini, you can learn how to recoil the atomiser heads and this will mean that it only costs 10p - 20p to keep them going. You my find that you want a battery that has more power or lasts longer, but take you time and get advice on here.

Whatever keeps you off the fags is fine. Good luck!

blossom has already given you some good advice so I'll just welcome you to potv :)

I will look into recoiling etc. I'm an inherent tightarse (hence my 190,000 mile car) and like the idea of saving yet more cash :)

Glad I signed up. Thanks so much @Blossom.

Hello to whit77 - I'm just sticking kettle on.. fancy a brew?
