What's new

Guardian could do better than this..

Sounds like a drive to regulate as a medicine....then big pharma steps in...everyone else is out.

It’s only a matter of time. From the underground culture that ended with the TPD, to the stupid regulations that made no sense afterwards because they didn’t know what the fuck they were dealing with , to somewhat socially accepted, to now being demonised again. Now it’ll either be a medicine or taxed to the hilt. Such is our culture.

@andipandi nailed it in his thread the other day. You earn money which you pay tax on, to then spend money on products which you pay tax on. You tax your car, you pay the local councils tax….. All about the taxes.

"...and anecdotal evidence that some children move on to cigarettes."

There's anecdotal evidence for Bigfoot, too.

Yes, I saw that (really rather negative) article...
The woman doesn't even appreciate that she has a less harmful alternative to smoking.. winging all the way through about things like how nice they taste cobbled together with a spurious mention of popcorn lung (what has that got to do with vaping? FFS)...

I also saw another article this week in the i newspaper about another woman whining about vapes (cos she never smoked), but she had managed to give up - so (in her case) what's the big deal?

we’ll all be smoking NHS branded disposables, like they sandwiches you can buy in some of the hospital cafes. i always suspected they were dusted with largactil :)

There are some valid points in this article about recycling disposables as it seems existing regulations aren't being followed. I'm not sure how the author expects recycling instructions to be printed on the packaging or device for umpteen countries and the reference to the UK following Australia in banning disposables is laughable as the government there appear to be banning vaping.
