Hope this is of interest - I interviewed Alan Beard and Dave Hallam about the vapers political party they are setting up and posted the interview here: http://t.co/7yWObeoK9a

Will you be voting for them?

No.

I thought this was meant to be a single person standing against McAvan as a protest. That'd have been a political statement I could have supported. I hold serious reservations about this.

If there was a candidate standing in my area, I might be tempted to register to vote again, but by the sounds of it this isn't covering my area.

I have to say, there seems to be something of a north/south split when it comes to smoking prevalence and I would assume there are probably more vapers in the north as a result of this (most of us are ex smokers). There might have been an argument for fielding one of the candidates in the north (if only to pish off McAvan), but when it comes down to it, two guys have stepped forward to put this into action and I'm grateful for them doing it. I sure wouldn't be able to devote the time and effort it would need to be a candidate... probably not many of us could.

I wish them luck and hope that their efforts can bring the crappy processes of the EU with regard to the TPD into the public eye.. it could stand more widespread scrutiny.

They don't need enough voters to elect them to run Britain but by supporting them we might just have a voice. Getting organized is the only legitimate voice that will be heard.
