After messing around with some Hana Modz I see these can be made better Imo. First thing is understanding why the have designed them the way the have. They have used a 6mm end mill to make most of the body, its a good choice because you have to machine pretty deep (22mm) without the bit flexing. They have given them selves way too much room to assemble the mod so it can be made much smaller still using a 6mm end mill.

The 510 is cheap and nasty and so is the battery holder, these can be upgraded to higher quality without breaking the bank.

This is what I came up with:

Billet aluminum body.
W24mm x D40mm x H83mm (Hana is W25.5mm x D49.5mm x 88mm)
Varitube 22mm 510 recessed.
keystone battery holder.
Magnetic door.

Tell me what you think.

Looks great mate would it be able to take an anti vandal firing button to avoid "hana finger"?

Looks really good mate.

What sort of prices are you thinking about for these? My mod might need a big brother :)

Is it possible to not have the recessed 510 in order to have 23mm tanks attached?

Yes if it was made longer longer.

Could be done, would need to be 0.5mm wider.

Price, don't really know materials are not expensive but its quite a lot of machining. A good guess £200-250.

This looks amazing BaDaBooM great work :D

If someone wanted the vandal switch variant, it might be worth looking at seedys little switch. I squeezed it in with a little modification into a 40 x 80 box.

On another note....Did that test as promised over the last couple of days :D

Ran 0.6 at 50 watts...lasted me a good half day+ until it creeped to 3.6v...so is pretty reasonable.

I'd advise having a spare battery on you if you want to run it all day though :P

Have You attempted to up rate the wiring on a board yet? I'm put off by trying to remove the black stuff!...solidly using 50w for a few days with no adverse effects makes me think it more yihi just covering there backs though.

Thank you.

@Bigwhiterabbit is sending me a interesting tactile switch that might work :)

The black stuff can be removed with acetone or isopropanol but be careful as it might kill the chip, I did it and it worked fine.

Good news that you can make it a tiny bit bigger, but unfortunately mine will have to stay as an only mod for the time being. With all the stuff I've got going on at the moment that's going to be out of my price range.

I know how much time and effort that you put into the mods that you make and even at that price it's a steal for anyone that is lucky enough to own one.

Great idea. Upgrading the firing button to a better feeling one would make it so much better. That's one of the things I don't like on my Hana V3. Along with the fixed 510 pin.
I was thinking about buying one of the empty hana boxes off fasttech and seeing what I could do with it. Not sure if a SX350 board would fit in it. But it would be nice if it would.
