Hard to get flavour rda.

I've had the drop dead, some other one, lion rda I think. And now the wotofo lush plus. I dont care about the first two but the lush plus is supposed to have such good flavour. I cant seem to get it. I have stainless steel alien claptons 3mm diameter coming out at .14 ohms. Around 80 watts. Getting better flavour out of my freemax mesh pro. I thought rdas were supposed to be better than that. I've had no luck yet

the free max mesh is good & thats because its mesh, ive not tried the lush so wont comment on that, but get either a the original wotofo profile or the new 1.5 & they will make the mesh pro look silly...

Yeah the mesh pro is just an exceptional tank with great coils to be fair. You tried using different cotton in your builds? Found this little guide here about building for flavour, I imagine you know most of what's in here but worth a browse through

*If you're thinking of maybe going down the mesh RTA route I wouldn't bother by the way, nobody has got the juice flow right yet (apart from maybe the Damn Vape Doom) and a dry rta mesh hit is really really bad lol

He's asking about RDA's.

From what I can see the one's he's trying are all kinda old, but saying that, some old one's are actually pretty good (for example the Drop RDA). I'd experiment with coil placement.

I also notice the POTV review https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/reviews/rda/wotofo-lush-plus-rda.html mentions it didn't exactly wow for flavour.

Yup I have, I found it to be very good when the build was right however it's a faff to get it just right, the machine quality on mine was pretty crap, it can be prone to leaking and the side juice wells just make no sense on a mesh RTA. I very much disagree with all the good reviews it gets lol

The hype train tends to run hard when these things first come out. Reviewers are kinda snookered, if they slam a device, they don't get any more product from that supplier, so, who to believe?!?. I tend to wait until the good folks here make comment as they've parted with their hard-earned and are more likely to give it a good thrashing till the wheels come off.

ive had rubbish flavor from pre made coil tanks and rta s but recently tried the rda route and boy did i find flavor at last.try the asmodus C4 or blitz hermetic. both are v good but the asmodus has a slight edge.maybe the ones you have tried were not flavor rda s? im using home made ss flat clapton coils of around 0.2-0.3 ohm at 50W. got a spool of tri core ni80 alien on the way.

Coil placement on an rda like that will make a huge difference on flavour.
Too high or too low and unbalanced power to airflow ratio all make a big difference.
Tbh I'd start with a little more power as 80w on a 0.14ohm build is a bit underpowered imo probably 3.5v maybe crank it upto 3.8v 90ish watts see if it copes first then mess with coil heights if still needed.

i noticed on the hermetic and C4 there are grooves for the coiling rod to locate in for correct coil height,which is useful.
