Hi Chris, I live with a watch nut and know more than I ever wanted to about watches (if you are a watch nut yourself, I actually really know very little compared to you, but it's not my personal obsession )
Thanks to the OH I now know about useless stuff like watch pressures and water resistancy, but rather than me trying to explain at this time in the morning as all I'll write is gobblydegook, here is a useful website about what water resistant/proof actually means on watches and hopefully it will give you some idea why sticking your watches in ultrasound might not always be a good idea unless you are a deep-sea diver and get them pressure-tested yearly
However, you should be safe to clean watch bracelets if they are metal, ceramic or plastic. If you use it for jewellery that contains precious stones, be careful as stones that are even the tiniest bit loose in their settings can be shaken out, and some stones like opals or turquoise should never be cleaned by this method.

It might shake up the innards to bits or at least, throw it out of adjustment.
Better keep my omega out of there then, and just stick to the steeping

I think the person to ask about watches in an ultrasound cleaner is MrTeaTime as I believe he at one time was a watchmaker ??
