What's new

Has anyone got one of these ultra sonic cleaners?

:) only a fool would put a watch with the movement still in in an ultrasonic cleaner :) although its not that uncommon

Watch case/bracelet/links....yep...

Individual watch parts.....yep, thats ok.....

And pressure testing watches is a whole new ballgame.....i do have one here, and regularly test my own watches after a service, but wont do anyone elses as your putting pressure into a small chamber, and ive blown a few up that have been tested beyond there stated WR....all in the name of science :)

However, i have boiled, for 20mins a casio frogman, case & movement to remove the resin to make a stealthy black and i still have it to this day....

You put positive pressure into the watches? Or vacuum?

Watch into tank, tank locked down, air pumped in relative to Atmospheres = to pressure watch stated.

The only watch that i have tested, and this was with a proper watchmaker (its just a hobby for me) that has gone way way beyond anything is a sinn German watch company) , filled with oil...its stated it can reach ANY divable depth

Yeah, filled with oil, I reckon that stand up to any pressure. Liquid being incompressible and all. Cool.
