What's new

have I bought the right thing?

There is not that much to fiddle with the vamo, tbh :)
Press the big button five time to switch it on, keep the little left button pressed, it will show the battery charge and, if you keep it pressed long enough NO2 or NO1. You want it to show NO2, as the other modality output too much even at lower settings.
Pressing both little buttons for a while will switch between variable wattage and variable voltage, while resetting to the minimum output.
I rarely use it in other than variable wattage.
Just vape and up voltage or wattage until you like vapour, heat and taste, but not so high that you get bad taste.
It's really very much up to you and in any case the ideal output depends on the attie.
Vivi will not take kindly a very high voltage typically, expecially if the head is still new, so start low and back off if you taste napalm :)
A good alternative to the vivi is the evod.

Have fun :)

The Vamo and Vivi are both excellent, just because they cost less it makes no odds, they look good and deliver everything they should. You really can't go wrong with either imo :)

Thanks for all the help so far. Am I safe for the vivi to be layed on its side? Can the liquid escape out the driptip?? So many questions lol

AFter about an hour of use with the vivi ive had a ccouple of dry burns and it dont taste as good anymore.

Try twirling the nova round every so often to keep the wicks wet mate :)

The liquid shouldnt escape your vivi.
If you want to try something amazing, order a cheap dripper. For instance the smoktech octopus

I've used a vamo and a vivi nova for around 2 months now. (only vape gear I use if I'm honest, other than a stealthy 18350 mod)... Only thing I would suggest, is getting a metal tank. I say this through experience, after cracking two tanks! :(
Setting wise, I find 8.5 watts to be fine for most juices. Do not remove the rubber cap under the drip tip! I did that when I first got it, ended up having to wash it all out and dry it out entirely (flooded it with juice) :P
I would also suggest a tight fitting drip tip as they have a tendency to 'pool' liquid at the top from condensation in my experience

Cool so I can just buy the metal tank part and just use my fittings from the nova I have? I have the one thats got the little see through windows on it. When I unscrewed the top this morning I noticed the rubber cap that is under the drip tip was not perfectly aligned with the hole in the screw top. Will this cause leakages cause at the mo its lay down in the storage bit in my car door. Mind you theres a million petrol reciepts in there to absorb any liquid lol

Yep! It replaces the plastic tank you have on currently. So, procedure is as follows:
Remove all liquid, and I mean ALL of it.
Take off the top cap.
Unscrew the tank from the base.
And then screw on metal one.
And put top cap back on.

It really is that simple :)

I know it's already been said, but do PUT IT INTO NO 2 MODE. This is a must. Dunno why they have no1 mode, cuz everything just taste burnt no matter how low you go just cuz of the way it works.

No1 Mode basically:
If set to 3.4v, it'll send out 6.8v then 0v at very VERY fast speeds. Hence burning ;)
