What's new

Have I grasped what a Vamo is?

There are

V1 Rubber buttons of various colours and weak / hot bottom spring
V2 Metal buttons and problem of battery cap springs solved
V2.5 main tube with the gubbins in it is now open at the bottom and there's a lip in the top of the battery compartment (as opposed to the bottom of the main bit with the gubbins in ) - looks and functions as V2
V3 - has the aesthetically questionable barrel patterns and an OLED display

Sounds like you know someone who likes to pull them apart ;)

Would just add V2.5 (still goes under V2) also can be told apart as it has a brass drip well not chromed as it was in V2.0

For me you've covered everything well - but then again that can describe almost any mod. What I think is specific about the Vamo is it's price - IT IS GOOD VALUE. To me the main thing is that it looks good (unlike the V3 which looks shite) and is VW. I love the build quality of my PVari but it lacks the VW that the Vamo has. Any battery, any atty - it vapes just the same. I do prefer it in 18650 mode as I vape the shit out of my devices and the 18350 just does not last long enough. I assume that you've not bought one yet and my BIG tip (after owning 4 of them) would be to ask the vendor to check the thread. I've ordered 6 and had 2 of them with 'wonkey' threads, so ask the vendor to check them first and you'll be fine. You can get the Chinese Vamo much cheaper through the likes of Vapor Break but if you get a wonky thread like I did then it'll be a pain in the arse getting it swapped / refunded etc'. Also stick with the SS - I know some guys on here have been fine with their non SS Vamo's but the ones I've had have lost their coating. Hope this helps, Bluey.

yes i agree with you blue ive had a lot of trouble with the chinese sites namely the 1 above .....Ive spend quite abit of money with them too .....my first prob was ego vv batts button went on it second all there ego/510 atties went withinin a week and third was i got a ego-t cheap set off them and when it eventualy arrived the battery charger legs were it plugs into socket were all broke ....so not had much look with them

Had mine about 3 months now and the threads are starting to go

The Igo L did not help the cause much

But I would buy one again. Great Mod

Just an update...

Wouldn't be without my Vamo now. One thing I find really handy about it...It stands up really easy when you put it down on a table. Silly point I know, but dead handy nonetheless.

If you want to use clearomizers like CE4 and CE5, DO NOT USE IN ADJUSTABLE WATTAGE mode with two 18350 batteries. You will burn them at 5 to 6 watts in seconds. It is OK with single battery and voltage mode with 2 batteries.
