Hi All

So Been vaping on the Vamo V5 and Protanks for a while and ventured into the RBA world with an RSST.

Couldn't get it to perform well so went with a Mod, Namely the HCIGAR Hammer

It looks great, feels great but performance wise, my Vamo is knocking it out the ballpark, and Now my RSST performs ok on the Vamo but crap in the HCigar

So question

Does anyone who has the hammer experience poor performance?

i know Mawsley has one and loves it, but i'm left feeling disheartened with it

Suggestions anyone?

What coil and resistance are you using in the RSST? The hammer should hit well if the coil is low enough resistance to open it up - the Vamo compensates for too high res due to the VV/VW aspect

I can get a better harder hit on my hammer then any VV device, its all about your coiling skills, battery and ohms :)

Like what they said.

One ohm microcoil, cotton, mesh, Taifun GS - vapes lovely.

With a 2.4ohm coil on a mech your only hitting about 6.5 watts
if you could get the resistance down to at least 1.3ohm you could hit about 13 watts

I had this trouble when I got my first ever mech, a Private V2 clone. Like you I thought it was the mech but as soon as I dropped down from a 2ohm coil to a 1.2ohm coil the vape quality was spot on. Shame that the cheapo clone threaded the day after so it took me a while longer to figure out lol.

Take a look at an ohms law chart, when you're batts are fresh off the charger they will be around 4.1/4.2 volts meaning when you use your mech, despite what resistance your atty is it will fire it at 4.1v, as the battery starts to be used more it commonly drops to 3.7 and stays there for a while, so due to vaping at 3.7 volts you want your resistance of the coil to be in your sweet spot for vaping at 3.7v.

Or at least that's my general understanding, someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
