Hello..

I am new to the vape game and im heading into Glasgow today to buy my first equipment. I was hoping you guys in the know could advise me on what I should be buying and from where? The 2 places I know of are the shop on sauchehall street and the one at the forge parkhead...

Looking forwardto your replies and thank-you in advance ;-)

Welcome aboard Spaceman

I am at the other end of the country so cannot advise on the quality of your local shops, but every shop I have been into on my travels has been friendly and helpful.

Have a chat, try what you can and all that you can and don't be afraid to ask questions.

A normal starter kit will be one or two batteries, charger, case an a couple of tanks. Personally I would advise steering clear of any disposable tanks, and aim for something like an iClear16, an aspire BDC or similar. The extra few quid will make all the difference

Happy Vaping!

Not local either I am afraid, make sure you try the liquids before you buy, any good shop will be set up to enable you to do so.
Personally I would recommend buying a cheap set up. It won't last, you can expect a lifespan of anything from 10 days to 3 weeks. However it will let you find out if vaping works for you without breaking the bank. You can try it out rest assured that the experience and the flavour only gets better as you upgrade.

some good advice there, the shop should steer you right if they value return custom.
don't be afraid to ask questions and try as many juices as you can.
finding a first juice you can live with for awhile is important at the start.
and a backup battery.
juice with high nic mg eg. 24mg may be needed depending on how heavy a smoker you are.
this will give a good throat hit and help your transition from ciggies.

As a Glaswegian I'd like to offer some advice......Emporium vapour in the forge make their own juice and it's very good, but as it's made fresh while you wait it gets better with a steep... Vapourised in sauchiehall street are a big chain group and although they do have a selection of juice and kit, I find that they're a bit more expensive.

Both sell basic beginners kit and a few tanks etc....I can't fault Emporium vapour for just about everything....

I don't know what retail prices are like in Glasgow, but in London prices are much higher than online, but I suppose if you need some guidance it may be worth paying a bit extra.

What I would advise is that if you are really serious about giving up, take a bit more time, do some research, ask some questions on here and go for a proper mod straight away, not some Mickey Mouse starter kit. You could easily spend £100 before finding something satisfying - that's if you don't go back to fags, as I've seen many do.

Aloha man, sorry but im not able to help but I'm going to disagree with Ment. It's not about getting the best mod first its about your resolve to quit. True you will end up spending more if you get a mod later but even if you do the starter kit can always be a backup

Thanks a million guys! Didn't think I would get as good advise as you have given so I'm armed with it and will be heading along to the forge in the next hour. I will report back later and let you know my findings.

Thanks guys, heading to the forge soon, I will report back later with my findings...cheers!

Well today I managed at last to give the guys at Emporium Vapor at the Parkhead forge a visit and was impressed with their knowledge and range of equipment + juice available. To cut a long story short I opted for a starter kit as like previous posters have said I will probably want to change/upgrade once I have an idea what suits me best. I have to say though that im already pretty happy with that!

Once again, thanks to the posters above for taking the time to offer some hints and advise ;-)
