My short story
I smoked cigarettes for ten years. But unfortunately, living in southeastern Europe, I cannot become part of the alternative smoking movement. It may be difficult for you to believe this, but for example, disposable vape devices began to appear here only four years ago. Box mods appeared a little earlier, but the problem was that it was tough to find spare parts, coils, and even cotton. The same situation was when the pod mod appeared.
For example, in the USA, such devices as IQOS (produced in 2014) and the like were locked, as they were recognized as harmful, the same as cigarettes. But it was not difficult for Philip Maurice's company to bring them to the European market. I assume this fact became the key to such a long appearance of vaping in Europe.
I decided to try it, but I was highly disappointed, as the inhaled smoke smelled like dirty socks, but the weirder thing was that I couldn't get a smoke saturation. After a while, I began to smoke at least two packs a day. There was a powerful shortness of breath and a loss of appetite. As you can imagine, I began to smoke cigarettes again without an alternative.
My first vape try
In 2021, I went on vacation to Prague, Czech Republic. According to the law of the European Union, no more than two packs of cigarettes are allowed to be transported through customs, so while I was getting to Prague, I ran out of cigarettes. So after checking into the hotel, I first went for cigarettes (I think former smokers will understand what I am talking about). In the first tobacco store, I was asked a question that I had never gotten: cigarettes or vape? However, I stayed in that store for a few hours because a kind seller introduced me to vaping and explained what vape devices, accessories, and liquids are. I explained that I wanted to quit smoking, and my first vape device became Uwell Caliburn G. Two days later, I purchased a lot of e-liquids, coils, pods, and one more vape device because my cigarette addiction had disappeared. When I returned home, I realized I wanted to promote vape culture as an alternative to smoking.
Nowadays
After this trip, my life completely changed. I still don't smoke cigarettes, and I also sell them. In addition to sales, I am engaged in vape device reviews and answering the most popular questions to help new users. I hope my notes and experience will help some of you or that my content and stories will be interesting to read.
