Hi there guys,

I have smoked since I was sixteen (am 24 now), I stopped whilst pregnant with my children but other than that have always smoked.

Currently myself and my partner smoke tobacco, as it's 'cheaper' but I hate it, I hate having to go on my balcony to smoke, in the cold, I hate smelling of fags, the list goes on.

I have in the past tried the cheap ecigs and they were okay, but I have started to see more and more about vaping with tanks and liquids etc and I must say it confuses me, I am going to invest in a starter kit on Tuesday but I thought I could do with getting a bit of advice first to make sure I am getting the right stuff and what I need to be aware of.

Thanks in advance :)

:welcome1: to POTV, the first thing I would ask is, what is your budget loopa2013?

Initially it is a larger outlay, but over a month it will be cheaper and healthier for you than smoking :)

howdy and welcome to the planet.

Check out the marketplace for some great items or head on down to the vendor forums to look through any of our amazing vendors. You will get loads of advice as to the better bits of kit....

Want to test the waters without jumping in head first ooooooor do you want to go big, fast?

Hi & Welcome to the Planet

There is lots of reading on here and dont be afraid to ask questions no matter how stupid.. We are a friendly bunch on here ( Well most are :D )

as for a starter kit it depends on how much you want to spend.. www.myepack.co.uk have been doing some good deals on starter kits and Ash is a top bloke and will answer any questions on here and on Facebook too

Welcome to Potv!!! Have a word with Midnight she'll tell you about her Girlie Pink Evod kit!!!! Girl's I don't know!!! they really love their Pink stuff!!!:welcome1:

Wecome to POTV,a great site,especialy for beginners.If you want to start vaping I am no expert like the other guy's here but all I can say is if you want to start start small and cheap but not to cheap.If you buy an ego battery they are quite cheap and reliable but don't buy a cheap clearomiser buy something like an innokin i clear 30 which I would recommend.But as I say I am no expert that is just what I would do.I have had too many bad experiences with clearomisers flooding and loosing their flavor to ever buy anymore!Then as you progress into vaping there are qute a few very well priced mods like the vamo or the itaste svd and many others.Hope this is a help and welcome aboard to a great forum.:welcome2:

Hey loopa2013,

Could not agree more with the above. When starting you are possibly best of with below the £40 mark. Also I think you should also consider the size of the E-Cigarette. I think the iTaste SVD may be a little large for a beginner.
Best thing might be to look at a few E-Cigarettes online and then youtube them, to give you an idea of their actual size.
Also the screw on top (where the E-Liquid goes in) is quiet important, as low quality ones can leek and you end up with the E-Liquid in your mouth, which is not nice to say the least.

Hope that may be a little helpful

Hiya.
I reckon some good sound advice (that I received when I first came here) is to get yourself an ego battery and a clearomiser to start with. That's what most start with, it's what I started with and they are great. Cheapish and cheerful and they do the job. No massively expensive outlay and you get a much better vape experience than with the little e-cig-a-likes.
I tried them and thought they were great to start with but soon got fed up of constantly changing the expensive throw-away cartridges, always seemed to be charging them up and constantly having to place orders online for more overpriced cartridges.

Most people tend to start off with a couple of baccy flavoured e-liquids and move on from there.

I can also recommend the Kanger Evods. Awesome bits of kit, you can find them for about £30 for two batteries and two tanks plus charger.

Myepack are really good with prices and have good after service care.
Really low priced e-liquids there too.

Good luck!

I remember how I felt smoking outside in the cold and then stinking of fags around my kids. It felt horrible :(
I bought my first lot of kit and juice from them.

I first bought this;

Brilliant device.

Then bought these;

But in pink :)

Also brilliant!
