I was loving my Evic VT for about half a day and now want to throw it at a wall.

I have it set to 500F and 40W on the titanium coil. For the first press of the button it's incredible then it hits "protection" and insists on vaping at 3-10W, therefore hardly getting any satisfaction.

The exact same thing happens with the Nickel Coil.

God damn new technology!!!

Can anyone help??

Nothing but problem after problem being reported with this mod. I'd throw it at the wall or ask for my money back.

Hey, isn't this what is supposed to happen? Once it hits the temp you have set the temp protection kicks in and lowers the watts to try and maintain that temp.

I have an Evic VT aswell, but i haven't tried the coils and tank that came with it, i have been building nickel coils on the subtank RBA and its been fantastic

One thing, the coils that come with the tank seem to have very small juice holes.... if you are using a thick juice it might not be keeping up so the wick is dry and it hits the temp limit quickly. When the wick is dry the vape is weak but the cotton doesn't burn. If i was a betting man, my money would be on this as the problem

Not sure on the ti coil, but the ni coil on mine I was running at 550f and 60w and it was quite nice. Try raising the temp and watts and see if it hits better.

I am now using a sub tank mini with an occ ni coil, which is working perfect, and a self built coil in the rba that also is working fine. I think moving to temp control is quite a jump from regular vaping and takes a bit of getting used to. Personally, I am enjoying the mod, but the atty could be better :)

i brought one yesterday at vapefest loving it at first but I find the ego mega tank absolutely pants really inconsistant it just doesn't wick quick enough and i'm using a 60pg/40vg mix so temperature protection kicks in almost immediately. I've swapped it out for my kanger subtank and using it as a VW until my ni200 coils arrive.

Its not the mod, so far my mods been excellent. The problem is the inconsistent pre made coils for these attys, ive tried the eGo one mega and kanger Ti and Ni200, both where the same ... crap!

I then looked into trying to coil my own, and twisted ni200 i made 2 coils, 3 weeks ago they have worked faultlessly.

It is unlikely to be the mod....It has good build quality. Are you fitting a cold atty? Are uou locking in the resistance? Also 500f looks very high to me, I have tc on three different devices all different and can find that 380f is often too hot!
