Hi all

I have just gotten into ejuicing and made a batch which is on the higher VG ratio of 80/20. The obvious problem i have is that, no matter how delicious i make this juice, it's just doesn't want to wick well and i'm dry hitting like a bitch.

I've thrown away several coils now and is beginning to niggle at me - no amount of singing or dancing is making this damm juice play ball.

I'm using the V2 Atlantis 1.0ohm coils in the Triton 2 tank / Pegasus mod.

The obvious thing to do is up the PG but i would like to reduce my pg levels.

Using Aquious VG was probably the thing to do and will get myself some but i have this bottle of juice so advise on what to do with it to make it vapable is appreciated.

Thanks Vapers!

Ash

You not at all interested in rda's mate? Any juice any ratio wicking no problems.

Either that or rba's most modern rebuildable tanks wick 80/20 vg/pg just fine. There is the obvious hurdle of learning to make coils. But honesty it's quite easy

You could try some distilled water in it if you do not have another suitable tank?
Try small batch first.

I use the Atlantis coils in my Silo beast from time to time. Ive never used the 1.0 ohm but use the 0.5 ohm and have no problem wicking with high vg juices at all... Are you priming the coil before hand? What wattage are you running it at? did you start low and work up?

I run my Atlantis1 0.5 coil on 80/20 around 30w and don't really get any dry hits. But the coil only lasts around 4-5 days. It's biggest draw back to the Atlantis 1 tank. It's my favourite tank I've used but I can't bring myself to constantly buy coils for it.

RTA's you say Gary, I could get into RTA's if this will solve the problem. Need some new coils because of the ones i've burned out. Thanks buddy, will give it a go.

Say, do you do rebuildables?
If so, where do you buy the coils from?

I'm only using my 1.0 ohm v2 coils as i burnt out my last two 0.5 ohms....grrrrr!
I was running it at just 30 watts and started at 15w. I dropped a few drops onto the cotton surrounding the coils first the the air inlets. I took a few peima pulls (about 10 and bubbles were still coming through). Left for another 5 mins to saturate further and to my surprise, it burnt the cotton and gave me a dry hit.
Same thing happened with the 2nd but this time i left for 10mins to saturate

I don't buy premade coils. I wrap my own. If you do want to get into rebuildables there is plenty of information on this sites wiki. Also watch plenty of youtube tutorials. Then when your ready get the appropriate supplies and join in the fun ;)

I have an atlantis v1 and it dry hits like fook with my home brew 70/30. So, after a bit of faffing g abiut I have discovered that stabbing fook out of the cotton with a needle through the juice holes whe the coil is new makes a huge difference to wicking. Don't over do it, just enough to loosen the cotton up a bit. I now get to toot around 50ml of juice before I even consider changing the coil.
I have now got a triton v2 with the 0.5 Clapton fitted and it wicks the same ration juice with no problem. Maybe you could try the 0.5 Clapton in your atlantis?
