help me as i am new to custom coils!

I recently swapped from the standard aspire cleito tank to the cleito rta running on a kbox 120. I decided to swap out the stock Clapton coils to something different so I went to my local flavour vape shop. seeing as I have no experience with coil making the nice chap at the shop said he would make me some instead. he suggested using flapton wire from flat wire uk, it is stainless steel. he said he had done five wraps on the coil before installing. as nice as it looks, he didn't know what wattage I should be using it on and said to just turn it up bit by bit to find max wattage....

now this is where my problem lies. I usually vape between 40-60 depending on kanthal or stainless steal pre made coils. so I am currently hovering around 45 on this build. I am getting a lot of loud popping, frequent dry hits, a bit of leakage and lack of flavour. I don't know how I'm supposed to be running this build and the guy in the shop didn't really help with that so I'm turning to the vaping community for help! if anyone can give me some idea on this particular build I would be very grateful!!

oh and by the way it is reading a resistance of 0.22 ohms on my kbox

i dont have a cleito tank, but dry hits, leaking and lack of flavour would suggest the wicking hasnt been done right. Check a vid or two out on youtube for how to wick the cleito and try their suggestions

Thanks for your reply spooky! I have watched countless videos on it and read lots of posts of people having similar issues with wicking. For now I'm more interested in the current coil set up as I can't find any information on the flapton ss wire! I just wondered if anyone had any knowledge on this kind of build and how to be using it in terms of wattage. Also I tried using it in temp control, to no avail, I'm thinking it must be stainless steel wrapped around something else (perhaps kanthal?). Any and all help welcome
