Help me pop my cherry :)

I experienced the same fruitless search for a good cherry flavour, without success. All the cherry flavours I tried, even Juicy Vapor, did not give me what I was looking for, although JV Black Cherry was lovely in it's own right. Trouble was I was looking for an artificial cherry candy flavour, not a fruity cherry. A cherry flavour that I grew up with in the states, such as that found in soda and lifesavers and poptarts, and it didn't seem to be available. So when flavor Hound e-liquid was launched, one of the first flavours that went on the website was Maraschino Cherry. First developed by Ernest H. Wiegand, Maraschino cherries as they are known today are cherries that have been dyed red (or any other color), flavored with almond oil and packed in a sugar syrup. Otherwise known as the cocktail cherry. This is the flavour so often found in sweets and sodas that are labelled simply as "cherry flavour" - or at least it's the closest thing to what I was looking for. And the almond oil aspect was a revelation. It never occurred to me before that they might use almond flavouring to produce artificial cherry flavours, but they do! Having discovered this fact the almond smell is obvious in many cherry flavoured products! So you might enjoy Maraschino cherry. Or get some good almond extract and mix some in to a floral type cherry e-liquid and you might be surprised at the improvement in taste, not to mention aroma.

Thanks for that, when payday comes I'll give it a try and let you know how I get on. I certainly wouldn't have thought of using almond but it does make total sense when you think about it :)

If you have any of your cherry juices left, you can get almond flavouring from asda and tescos (probably others too) for about 80p

Thats what im gonna try tonight, I have some almond flavouring and I have Mtbakervapor cherry basalm tobacco which to me tastes like soap sweets. Hopefully the almond will improve it!

Vermillion river mystic cherry , not as good as the original vermillion cherry , as the flavour supplier dave used changed the recipe , but still dammed good though , i know dave took 6 months or so trying to get it right before he put it back in circulation.

You can get Almond, Lemon and Rum from ASDA - and be prepared to be disappointed - the amount of flavour in these is tiny - OK for cakes etc because the liquid gets absorbed into the mix. I tried all 3.
