I started vapeing in June i used to struggle with a really bad chest and hated the taste when smoking ciggys but ive ran into 2 dilemmas and i really could do with some help off you folks. I literally cant afford how much juice i smoke so ive looked into diy awesome loads cheaper but the stupid tpd has screwed me, I've ordered some bottle shots pg VG to ease me in but im stuck with getting nic i want to abide by tpd as i don't need the hassle in my life right now im to stressed. Where can i source nic shots cheap ? they are stupidly expensive and make diy not that cheap at all :(. I've found some on goodstuff vapes £13 for 20 i need approx 64 is the site i said above any good ? Or can anybody reccomened anywhere better and cheaper ?. Also I've had a sore throat for 3 weeks now and juice tastes really bland any ideas on how to rid this ? I've tried spicy things, smoking menthol, throat sweets with no change. Im so stressed in life right now i need to keep my nicotine habit alive but the way its going id be better off back on the fags its to damn expensive its going to cost like £200 to make 3250ml. sorry for the long post but im struggling here, I appreciate any and all help. Tia :)

How much juice are you getting though a week, what mg nic you vaping at and what pg/vg mix do you like?

Mixing over 3L of juice in one go is a lot and could easily be broken down into bite size mixes and work out cheaper. Or it would feel like it is.

For your juice consumption, what device are you using and what resistance/wattage? I regularly show people in the shop that their baby beast coils that need 75w just to make work properly can be easily swapped out for other coil types such as procore 0.25w versions that do the same job using only 33w - my juice consumption more than doubles on the coils that need higher power.

My point is that owadays there is a bit of a running thread that devices are created usually on silly coils that need high power pushing through, you don't actually NEED higher power to vape but lots of people feel they need big clouds which is where juice consumption rises. I manufacture juice so should have a vested interest in people using more juice but it's counterproductive IMHO

How much are you vaping in a week and what strength is your juice? £200 gets you like 20 packs of fags these days, which would have lasted me 15 to 20 days. I vape at most 50ml in a week, so the savings are clear. Either your numbers are off or something in your setup could be better (tank, coils, nic strength, etc). It's hard to fathom how vaping is more expensive than fags. There's a couple possible options I see.

First is what tank are you using? Is it a cloud chasing tank? If it is, I'd suggest getting a new tank first. I used a Smok Baby Beast with one of their T6 coils and it drank juice like no tomorrow. Swapped for a different one, much better on juice consumption and minimal drop in flavour.

Second is where are you getting your juice from? My local brick and mortar shop tried charging me £35 for 120ml of juice which is outrageous. Down the road, a shop charged £20 for 100ml. You can also get it online for around £10, the quality may vary but I've been happy with the few sites that I have tried. So there are cheaper options out there without needing to mix yourself.

Third option, if DIY is your only solution, make sure you know what precautions to take when mixing and your quantities are correct, then google for a place that sells nic wholesale at 72mg/l. Mixing in bulk with only 18mg/l bottle shots is going to kill any savings you're trying to make by going DIY. Don't forget to factor in other costs like flavouring concentrates (including duds that taste bad, I've tossed quite a few straight into the bin after one puff), syringes, bottles, etc.

As Miss P says, three litres is a lot, especially if you end up not liking the result. I vape mostly DIY and I never have more than 100ml of any particular juice, and maybe a dozen different juices in rotation but usually less than that, say 500ml total at the most.

WRT price of nicotine, you don't have to buy in bulk to save money. Fifteen quid for eighteen shots from darkstar is still going to be cheaper than buying premo juice, and they offer a choice of PG/VG ratios. OK it's 18mg and all DIYers are going to have take the pain when there's no more 72 left in the freezer but it's still worth doing IMO.
