So I just got my DIY kit for my birthday, and I made a mix of 6o% pg and 40% vg using the awesome calculator provided by this site for my android. I put a new atty in my Totally wicked Tornado Started vaping then about 2.5 ml later my liquid turned amber/brown. It was clear when I first mixed it, then a day later it changed. I had a similar issue with some liquid I had purchased from a different supplier. Totally Wicked uses 60/40 ratio so it shouldnt be the mix right..? It also appears to be affecting the atomizer too because the wick turns blackish at the base (which could be why the liquid is changing color?) Please help I like my TW kit but I also spent a good deal on all these awesome flavors.
Thanks

Hey Restless

Flavours DO change colours over time .. as a rule .. they can take anything from a day or 2 to a couple of weeks before the flavours have infused and reached their full potential .. colour changes occur over this time ...

I dont vape anything .. till at least a week after Ive mixed it .. and colour changes can occur .. even after that :)

I believe that TW liquids are 70/30 PG/VG however liquids will change colour with time, that's normal. Has the taste changed? That's the main thing. When you mix your own liquids, depending on the flavours, it's usually best to let them steep for a week or two before you vape them. You will notice that colour will change and flavour will get better.

Also, where do you keep your liquids? If they're left in sunlight on a windowsill then they might spoil.

Wow a full week huh? What is the best way to steep? and I keep my kit that I got from NicVape.com in a cigar box under my couch so sunlight spoiling it isnt an issue I hope... And thanks I'll try the 70/30 mix too though a side by side comparison shows no difference in the viscosity of my mix and TWs mix

IMO the best way to steep is in a bottle in the dark with some air in the bottle . so not full to the brim .. take the lid off every couple of days and have a sniff ... should help with air exchange.

everyone has differing opinions on this, a sunlit windowsill will change the colours more dramatically, rapidly .. But im not sure or convinced if this is a good thing re: nicotine degradation .. bacteria building...

for me Id rather leave it longer in a cool dark place.
