Hey guys, I wouldn’t say I was new to vaping as I have been doing it for about 2 and a half years now, however I am new to the more advanced side of things, I have a hicigar vt75 mod and using a aspire cleito120 tank now I love this set up.......when it works, so the first issue I came across was the “check battery” I managed to solve this by changing some settings on the evolv escribe, then I had the issue of it running out of battery quickly so I bought a new battery and still when it came to the morning it would never be fully charged I was told by my local vape shop I needed to just get a single battery charger so I did this then had the same “check battery” message went onto escribe to fix the issue once again, and now it doesn’t turn on whether I plug it in with various leads or to a plug or laptop. PLEASE HELP!!

The VT75 is fine if running highish ohm/low watts. It's not designed for running something like a Clieto 120, what watts you running at?

^^^As posted above. You're using a tank with coils that function best between 80 and 120 watts and a single cell 18650 75w mod. There isn't an 18650 out there that will give you good battery life at anything above 60 watts. For even remotely sensible battery life you would need to be vaping at around 50w which really isn't compatible with the Cleito 120. You either need a different tank or a dual battery mod, IMHO.

Oh I appreciate that but I’m stuck on the fact I can’t get it to turn on again haha! Happily buy a new tank but before shelling out on that I want to get it back on!! Any tips?

Hi @Luke Preece and welcome to the planet.

the main advise has already been mentioned but a couple of things need asking and mentioning.
please NEVER leave a battery on charge overnight especially in the mod or even in an external charger.
what settings did you change to get it to work.if it gave a fault like check battery then there is something wrong and changing settings using escribe may well be bypassing the fault but also giving the potential risk of it going bang.
also what battery make and mah are you using and where did you buy it.
and its always advisable to use the cable that came with the mod and not any old phone cable as some do fast charge which could also damage the battery. im no expert on cables and amps but its not worth the risk.

if it now wont turn on it could well have fried the board by bypassing whatever you bypassed to get it to work. sounds like it will be keep the tank but buy a new more powerful mod.

the last single battery mod i had which used a 18650 i got exactly 1 hour 10 minutes running at 50watts so a tank with a coil that needs around 80-120watts will drain much much faster.

Have you tried plugging in without a battery & try 5 clicks as this normally wakes a DNA board. Only use the included lead as not all USB leads do data/charge together. If you plug in a charge only lead it may not wake the mod. If this or a fresh charged battery don't work it's probable the board is goosed. To be honest the shop that recommended the tank to run on that mod want avoiding at all cost. That tank is suited to dual/triple cell mods not a single 18650.

I’ll try that now and keep you updated
