I've been using the cleito exo with the original cleito coils (0.4) for around 2 months now, when I started using it the coils would only last me around 3 days. Now I've got the coils to last me over a week after I finally learned how to properly prime them. When the coil has been in for nearly a week I can see the cotton is starting to discolour on the inside but it still tastes fine (taste dulls a bit but not burnt).
I was just wondering should I change the coil when I see it's getting discoloured or leave it until it tastes burnt? I was using one for 10 days and when I looked into the coil it was all black on the inside but tasted fine so I'm a bit confused

if you dont mind the taste being slightly muted then id carry on until you get that change of taste where you know within the next few puffs you will get a burnt taste. this will take a while to get used too but you should soon pick pick it up and ive not had a total burnt hit in a couple of years.
why waste a coil while it still has a bit of life left in it.

There's no right or wrong answer.

It's personal choice, I'd personally wait until it's burnt out.

Unless it's a liquid I thoroughly enjoy and hate I can't taste it fully.

I wouldn't worry about the colour. I'm using a Steam Crave Glaz with a glass chimney, so you can see the wick. Right now it looks disgusting, but tastes great! I won't re-wick until the flavour goes bad.

When the vape isn't enjoyable anymore, change it. If you can still enjoy the vape with whatever state the coil is in, keep going, you'll know when it's time to change(the taste gets pretty nasty when a coil is properly done).

I have recently changed to rta rdta for this very reason when the taste changes 1or2 bits of cotton wool 2 pence and it vapes like new again, beginning to wonder with cost of juice coil atties tanks mods etc how much cheaper than smoking ( i smoked a pipe ) this really is??

There's also the cost to your health, even if the savings aren't hand and foot huge amounts, your body and well-being are all the better off for it.

I would love to get into rebuildables but it's all a bit daunting so think I'll just stick to the stock coils for the time being anyway.
I know the equipment can be expensive but definitely better than smoking when it comes to your health, like @Lung Redemption said! I would personally rather be out a bit of money than go back to smoking

You can buy for around £13 an RTA for your cleito you do not need to wind your own coils you can buy 48 pre made coils for around £8 cotton wool roughly £3 all this may last you 12 months, I am as thick as 2 short planks and I can do it, just watch a few coil builds on YouTube! But tbh if you like your cleito its one of the best tasting atties but drinks liquid imo and coils at around £2.50 each, good luck whatever you decide
